As a lifelong Long Beach resident and graduate of Muir Elementary, Stephens Middleschool and Long Beach Poly High, it has been my great fortune to be associated with Long Beach City College three times. I first arrived fresh from high school for my basic university transfer requirements. While building my own business, I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills as well as a community college teaching credential.
I returned to LBCC for a decade right out of college when I began our Medical Transcription program, the first in the area at that time. After creating my own medical transcription service, I have now returned to LBCC as a keyboarding and document production instructor, using my insights from the business world to help prepare students for the information-technology field. I continue to do consulting in Health Information Technology, working with local medical offices as they convert paper charting to the ever expanding cloud-based computer systems. As both a student and instructor, I have always been a big booster of Long Beach City College.
